Information for the 2019/2020 School Year!
THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM: It is the intent of this program to provide financial support to a resident or someone affiliated with Elbert County. The student identified to receive this support may be of any age group. The 2019 award will be for a student(s) that is/are registered for post-secondary education for the September semester of 2019.
HOW THE SHOLARSHIP IS AWARDED: The Conservative Breakfast Association Scholarship shall be awarded to a high school senior or a student in an accredited College or Trade School based on a point system. Multiple Scholarships may be available, dependent on funds available. Points shall be awarded to the applicant from a list that is both objective and subjective. Evaluation shall be conducted by the Scholarship Committee and presented to the CBAEC Board for final vote approval.
ELIGIBILITY: The applicant and/or applicant’s guardian must be a legal resident of Elbert County or a resident of an adjacent county that has a school district in Elbert County. He/she must be a High School senior, attend an accredited college or trade school, or be accepted to an accredited college or trade school. There is no age limit, nor a requirement to be affiliated to a political party. The applicant must fill out an Application providing important information that will be used for the Scholarship Committee to evaluate the applicants score. The applicant must be a US citizen.
IMPORTANT DATES:
• The completed applications must be received no later than: June 30, 2019
• The scholarship(s) will be presented at the Conservative Breakfast Association of Elbert County breakfast on: August 10, 2019.
